A special celebration for a special California Beta Eta sister: The picture is of Marilyn Cain "65 and Vera Aalgaard '66 of CA Beta Eta sisters who celebrated their 100th birthdays at a Brunch in the home of chapter president Teresa Heitmiller Olea. Marilyn served 2 years in the Service during WWll and Vera taught in a one-room school house at the beginning of her career. Both ladies regularly attend our chapter meetings and both ladies live independently. After enjoying refreshments, the party moved to the TV room to watch a video of an interview with 4 of our long-time members, including Marilyn and Vera. They reminisced about the early days of Beta Eta.

Caring for our members is one of the most special things about our organization. Thank you Florida Gamma Omicron!Pat Thompson-Lee, Lisa Schuerholz-Winters, and Dabney Pelegrin from FL Gamma Omicron visit with Shirley Behrens-Avirett on her 95th birthday. Pat is one of the newest members of the chapter and Shirley is the oldest member!

Thank you Virginia Theta for supporting your students! #adkproud #adkscholarshipsVirginia Theta is pleased to award scholarships to Kamille Gunn and Taylor Prillaman. The scholarships are $1,000 each.Taylor played both women's varsity volleyball and women's varsity tennis for 4 years. Additionally, she founded a chapter of Morgan's Message, a club dedicated to the mental health of student athletes, at Patrick Henry High School. She will attend the University of Virginia in the fall with plans to major in elementary education.Kamille completed two years of Teachers for Tomorrow and attended Hollins University summer camp program. She volunteered at the Homeless Shelter and visited elementary schools to interact with and teach younger kids. Kamille plans to major in elementary education at Hampton University.
