I am so grateful to have been named one of 27 women to receive Kappa Delta Foundation's Corre Anding Stegall Leadership Award for the 2024/2025 year! The Corre Award is the highest individual honor an undergraduate Kappa Delta member can earn, and I am so honored to be recognized by the Kappa Delta Foundation! KD has given me such a great network of achieving women to look to for advice, inspiration, and community. I look forward to continuing to serve as Vice President of Learning and Development on campus this fall!https://lnkd.in/ef-C35GM

This past year has been a whirlwind of growth, advocacy, and service, and I'm excited to share some highlights! I proudly served as president of the George Washington American Civil Liberties Union campus chapter during the fall semester. During this time, my executive board and I issued a statement defending the importance of free speech on our campus, which sparked many important discussions within our community. (Check it out @aclugw on Instagram.) ️As part of my service learning for my Professional Relationships course with Linda-Jeanne Mack, MSW, LICSW, I had the pleasure of working with Little Friends For Peace (LFFP) to support their donor engagement efforts and volunteered for their weekly ESL tutoring sessions, helping newcomers feel welcome. With Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, I led a successful recruitment process, welcoming 20 incredible new members in the fall and another 20 in the spring! It has been an honor to serve as Vice President of Membership, and I cannot wait to see what Brynn Bizzard does in the fall! I finished the school year with 68 hours of service!During the second semester, I stepped into my role as Vice President of Learning and Development for the Sigma Mu chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority. I played a key role in welcoming 36 new members into our sisterhood, growing our chapter, and fostering meaningful connections. Alongside Mallory Viotto, we killed the Alumni Senior brunch filled with letters to PC 25 and bouquet making! With Sasha Bruce Youthwork, Cara Isabelle Poblete, Hayden, and I developed a theory of change model, a valuable tool for their impactful work. Theory of change models are able to guide and ground an organization that works to create lasting impacts by analyzing the context, limitations, and systems they exist within. We also met with Sasha Bruce's CURB youth advisory board, composed of young people who formerly faced housing insecurity, and heard about what makes this organization's services stand out. I want to thank Bianca Faccio for the dedication and empathy she showed my team this semester! With BBYO, I enjoyed supporting teens through my role as a Chapter Excellence Intern. It has been a joy to watch the Capitol Hill area grow from interest into a start-up chapter. Tarryn Winik and I's weekly check-in calls will be missed this summer! Starting this past January, I kicked off an internship with the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), which will run through the election cycle, diving into the world of political engagement. I want to thank Beverly Schreiber, MPA for welcoming me with open arms and for her guidance thus far! I cannot wait to see what our team accomplishes in the upcoming months. ️This year has been a rollercoaster of learning, leading, and community building. I'm grateful for the experiences and the incredible people I've met along the way. Here's to continued growth and making a difference!

I am thrilled to continue learning about resettlement and nonprofit programming outside of the classroom this summer. I am excited to contribute to the vital work happening in RI to welcome those seeking resettlement.

Two weeks ago, I got the opportunity to attend the first-ever George Washington Horizons Social Justice Retreat, ran by the Office for Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement where I got to build community with other organizers on the GW campus. We learned from incredible speakers about values and finding balance in this work! I left this retreat with a better sense of identity and motivation after hearing from the amazing accomplishments and goals of the attendees I was able to learn alongside.

Held a Volunteer Skillshare with the American Civil Liberties Union of DC last month on holding effective 1:1s! It was so amazing to facilitate a workshop on an organizing tool important to me while learning from the DC community who showed up!
