How To Use The Six-Digit Code
In Roboquest, there's an abundance of mysteries, but it's impossible to solve them all in a single run. By finding keys throughout the game, you can unlock optional areas by opening doors in previous sections. Even some doors hide challenges that lead to Power Crystals, which make the endgame easier and grant you permanent effects.

Roboquest is a roguelike with a ton of weapons to choose from - here are the best of the bunch.
So, how many characters have you unlocked in the game? If you want to unlock the Elementalist, you need to decipher the six-digit code in the Energy Centre. Since this code is unique to each player, you'll need to follow a special path. If you're ready, let's find your code!
Obtain The Ruins Key
Before entering the Energy Center, your first step is to start in the Canyons, the first map of the game, and reach the breakpoint in the Oasis map. There, you will find the Ruins Key. The next step is to go to the Ruins, but you cannot do this in the same run in which you found the Ruins Key. You'll need to start over from the beginning.
Obtain The Tech Room Key
When you restart at the Canyons, use the Ruins Key to enter the Ruins — don't head to the Oasis breakpoint! Once there, search the area until you see a yellow-colored area in the top-right corner of your map interface. You'll find a tunnel there that's filled with lasers. You are able to go through the lasers, but doing so will reduce your health quite a bit. To avoid this, search for four red buttons to deactivate the lasers:
Image | Button | Location |
---|---|---|
First Button | The button is located atop a rusty truck positioned directly across from the tunnel filled with lasers. | |
Second Button | To find the button, head to the elevated section of the ruins overlooking the laser-filled tunnel. It's situated behind a truck in that area. | |
Third Button | Once inside the laser tunnel, stand in front of the lasers and look to your left to spot the button. | |
Fourth Button | From the position of the second button, look to your right. You'll notice a distant billboard with a button positioned beneath it. Stand below the billboard and press the button. |
Now that the lasers are gone, go inside this location. The Tech Room Key needed for the next step will be waiting at the end of the tunnel. Afterward, return through the laser-filled tunnel and exit through the normal gate of the Ruins to reach the area of the game's second chapter, called Fields.
If you have very few Power Cells and don't think you can complete the 25 required for the next step, it may be logical to start over from the beginning.
Obtain The Tech Lab Key
The first thing you need to do now is to unlock the closed door at the breakpoint of Fields using the Tech Room Key. After unlocking it, you will encounter another door that requires 25 Power Cells to open.
Therefore, refrain from spending Power Cells during your run; instead, collect Power Cell rewards from Corrupted Rooms. With the Power Cell Bank upgrade, you will have eight Power Cells from the very beginning. If you don't have 25 Power Cells, unfortunately, you'll need to start over and reach this point again.
Complete The Doom Gardens
When you enter the Tech Room and give 25 Power Cells to the door there, you will reach an area called Doom Gardens. This is a timed area, and it has red mini robots that explode. While rushing through it, shoot the green mini robots to gain extra time. The Teal Power Crystal will be waiting at the end.
Upon acquiring the crystal from Doom Gardens, you'll unlock access to a unique entrance leading to Aqua Station. It's important to note that this area is only accessible from Doom Gardens. Once inside this unique entrance, you'll discover the Tech Lab Key.
Learn Your Six-Digit Code
Firstly, head from Doom Gardens to Aqua Station. From there, you need to reach the level called Energy Center.
Before reaching the Energy Center, you need to learn your code by dealing damage in three different elemental types. However, if you don't have weapons of three different elemental types, you can do this in separate runs.
Enter the Tech Lab, a closed area at the breakpoint of the Energy Center. Use the Tech Lab Key you found when traveling from Doom Gardens to Aqua Station to open the door. Here's Heisenbot.
In the room with Heisenbot, you'll see an energy sphere next to the glass. You need to hit this energy sphere with different elemental damages: Pyro, Electro, and Cryo.
You can do this with special weapons or perk effects in a single round, or you can do it in separate runs. As you hit the sphere, two hidden numbers per element will be revealed on the small blue counter screen in the room. These codes are unique to each player and save file. So, you need to identify your own code.
Here's an example of the code you can see on the blue counter:
Element | Code |
---|---|
Electro | X 3 X 1 X X |
Pyro | X X 4 X X 2 |
Cryo | 2 X X X 4 X |
Combining these example codes gives the following result: 2 3 4 1 4 2.
Save your own code, but it won't work in this run. You'll need to make another run for that.
The elemental damage you deal to the sphere determines the type of map you'll encounter in the second half of this level, opening the door accordingly.
How To Use The Six-Digit Code
When you start a new run, you need to return to the Energy Center level again. To get there quickly, follow these levels: Canyons - Quarry - Aqua Station - Energy Center.
This time, instead of progressing as soon as you enter the Energy Center, enter your six-digit code at the starting area. This will take you to the Weather Station. From there, you'll find the Art Gallery Ticket and Chromatic Cell. This way, you'll unlock the Elementalist character.
