Woodley had him stunned.. And stayed in chill/cruise mode. Frustrating ashell.
Big Woodley fan here, Been watching woodley since getting destroyed by nate the great so time ago... So im a bit salty.
That post fight interview was funny ashell.. If they do run that back.. Woodley i think comes out with more fire. But he should've came out with fire from the jump..
Still not sure if tyrone made a fool of himself during the post fight or not.. Id watch the rematch.. Tyrone needs to be the damn "chosen one" and not the "frozen one"
Respect to Jake.. Boy can fight.

Doubt I will ever watch Woodley fight again, man is a walking disappointment
Jake vs Tommy Fury is the fight to make
You can't deny that Jake can draw a crowd and PPV buys, you can't say that about too many fighters esp boxers

Jake just needs to fight a guy that knows how to box … he fought a basketball player and 2 wrestlers.

2 40yr old wrestlers at that... But don't think they will put him in against anybody that would take it seriously... Its a gimmick that keeps getting clicks and at the end of the day its pretty much all that matters.

Just came in here to say tyron woodley is an absolute clown.
And he had the nerve to hold his hands up after the fight LIKE HE WON.
I’m embarrassed for him. I hope whatever he spends this check on is worth it because his reputation is SHOT.

To be fair, Woodley should have gotten a 10-8 round when he rocked Paul and the ropes kept him standing. It’s the same as a knockdown if the ropes keep you up, especially based on the fact he grabbed the ropes to pull himself back up.

I'm surprised this is the same dude that took the belt from the savage Robbie Lawler with a one hitter quitter. Well, he hasn't been that guy for years.

Woodley definitely should've got points for the knockdown.
But his problem with Jake Paul is the same problem we all know he's had for years now. And I'm sure getting stopped by Luque recently when he finally decided to open up and get aggressive didn't help either. And the last time before Luque when he truly opened up in a firefight was against Nate Marquardt, and he caught a highlight reel knockout for his troubles. If you really look at his career, there aren't any fights outside of those two where he's just standing in the pocket exchanging, that's just not his game. His bread and butter is blitz and catch you with the right hand. He had a nice pull counter to knock down Darren Till, but outside of that he's never shown that he's the craftiest with the hands.
With that said, I STILL think he had enough to knock Jake Paul out last night but he knew Jake had some power, I'm sure he felt it, and he just didn't open up in fear of getting clipped in an exchange. Disappointing, but it's kind of the story of most of his career.
I was rooting for him too man, coulda been somewhat of a redeeming moment. Ariel's whole little monologue right before the fight was already working that narrative in, but no dice. Sad to see Woodley going out like this but ah well

You guys are funny. Twood is one of the highest paid UFC guys ever. Approaching 40 with two surgically repaired shoulders. He was never gunna be Mr. Punches in bunches... this fool was level changing with his hands down. Nothing sad about taking a few Ms into retirement and headlining the biggest card of the year. He also won the fight. Lost on the cards but he probably landed the three hardest punches and let Jake recover... had he finished him there there is no rematch.. hed have to fight Logan or bust. Now he kinda has the option for either one to ride off into the sunset makong more off these 2 fights than 99% UFC guys career earnings

If it was pride scoring type system maybe woodley would have a case of winning but he didn’t have enough volume round to round
Even with a 10-8 round seem like he just didn’t throw enough compared to paul

Oh for sure. No way on earth he won on the cards... but again he won the "fight". He was never in any semblence of real danger and walked the bigger man down. Despite being a "counter puncher" if you could call him that.
And yup.... So what 3.5 M mininum for him? Prob get 5 for the next one.

Was listening to the Morning Kombat post fight pod and they bring up good points about TWood being a guy who wasn't just gonna go all out looking for the finish. When he did it against Luque we all saw what happened, he gassed and got finished. I think he was scared the same type of thing would happen after he landed that big shot against Paul on Sunday night. It is what it is though and happy for him getting paid.
Also saw Tito is fighting Anderson?!? Why? Tito prob gets finished quick and maybe that sets Andy up for the Logan Paul match that was rumored a little while back.

It looked even dumber live, tyrons preformance was so bad/underwhelming he made jake look better than he actually is. Thats the most upsetting part about the whole charade.
