Job Summary/Description:

Master Control Operator is responsible for monitoring the quality and accuracy of our on-air signals as well as ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and the station’s high standards. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and preparing programming for playout.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Monitor all broadcast streams for **** and NVVU.
- Operate master control systems, including the ability to effectively perform the following: commercial/program ingest & QC, Satellite operations, and controlling the automation system.
- Proficient operation and knowledge of Master Control operation and supporting equipment preferred.
- This position requires attention to detail, as well as the ability to make fast, accurate judgments, multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and problem-solving.
- Monitor and edit automation playlists to ensure correct playback of programming and commercial content.
- Monitor air signals to ensure **** is adhering to FCC and station guidelines.
- Ingest commercial content and programming from multiple sources including but not limited to Satellite feeds, FTP delivery, LTN, and Extreme Reach.
- Ingest commercials, programs, and other program materials into the station automation system.
- Occasionally assist with the production of local news, promotions, and commercial programming.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Master Control experience with DBI or other automation systems preferred.
- Flexibility with scheduling and job assignments.
- Computer experience and willingness to learn are a must.
- Needs to work and communicate well with others, as well as be a self-starter.
- Must be able to work flexible days, hours, and holidays in a 24 x 7 x 365 day-a-year work environment.
- Successful candidates should be dependable, well organized, able to multi-task, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work calmly under pressure, and meet deadlines.

• Tell the market's weather stories in a way that connects and informs viewers.
• Develop innovative and creative ways of presenting the daily weather story, with an emphasis on accuracy and integrity of data.

Overview:

Cloud Playout Systems Engineer is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining the technical integrity of Cloud and On-premises broadcast playout at Origination Centers. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide research support to sales team in order to fulfill ad hoc insight requests for *** Network cross-platform brands
• Create scorecards/reporting for key metrics from audience measurement platforms like Nielsen NPower, ComScore, iSpot.tv, etc.
• Assist in conducting advertiser effectiveness, category and lifestyle behavior studies on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with Ad Sales Analytics to utilize cross-platform viewership data (linear, digital, and social) to create thoughtful and innovative audience analyses in order to best position and distinguish our networks in the marketplace
